Cat bird

An American bird allied to the Mock¬ ing-bird, and po e ing a remarkable power of imitating the notes of other birds. Its spring song is mellow and sweet, but it has also a disa¬ greeable note, somewhat like the mew of a cat. It is found in the eastern half of the United States.
