sea mouse (se mous)

1. A marine dorsibranchiate annelid of the family Aphroditidæ. The common sea-mouse, Aphrodite aculeata, of the British and French coasts, is from 6 to 8 inches long and 2 or 3 in width. In coloring it is one of the most splendid of animals. 2. Same as sand-mouse. [Local, Eng.] seam-pre er (sēm'pres"ėr), n. 1.
