Grape

(grāp.) [From It. grappo, a cluster of grapes.] The fruit of the vine growing in clusters, from which wine is expre ed. When G. are dried and preserved, they are called raisins; or, if they are of the very small kind grown in Greece and the Ionian Islands, they are known as currants. See VITIS. Grape/-sugar. (Chem.)
