One of the Alloposi dæ. IMG:content-0532.png:[blocks in formation] Alloposide (al-o-pos'i-dē), n . pl . [NL., Allopo- sus +-ida.] A family of octopod cephalopods, represented by the genus Alloposus . It is charac- terized ovoid finle tapering connected gods. N. E. D. a median ventral and two lateral longitudinal commis- sures which run from its inner surface to the basal parts of the siphon.
