Everybody's Cyclopedia (Vol. 2)

Everybody's Encyelopedia · 1912 · p. 2
Charles Leonard-Stuart, editor; George Jotham Hagar OCR'd text, digitized from a scanned copy. The embedded text layer's column-position data was unreliable on a large fraction of pages (causing entries from adjacent columns to interleave), so this edition was built instead from fresh image-based OCR: each page was split into its left and right column images and OCR'd separately to guarantee correct reading order. Blank plate backs were dropped; remaining full-page illustration plates are included as images rather than transcribed text, placed near the entries they originally appeared next to. This volume continues from Volume 1 (roughly C to H); front matter and back matter were omitted. A pa was run to strip stray OCR noise picked up from inline illustrations; a little scattered noise, and occasional merged entries where the source OCR dropped a period, may still remain.
