The space, immediately below the apex of the orbit, which lies in the angle between the pterygomaxillary and the sphenomaxillary fi ures. It contains Meckel's ganglion, branches of the second division of the trigeminal nerve, and terminal branches of the internal maxillary artery. subclavicular f. See infra clavicular f. sub olivary f. A small groove below the olivary body. ' suborbital f. See canine f. sub pyramidal f. A depre ion just below the pyramid and behind the fenestra rotunda of the middle ear. subscapular f. The concave portion of the costal surface of the scapula occupied by the subscapular muscle, superior costal f. The facet for articulation with a rib on the upper portion of the body of a vertebra, superior occipital f. A depre ion in the superior part of the interior of the occipital bone. It lodges the occipital end of the cerebrum. supra clavicular f. A f. just above the clavicle, between the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles.
