[Lat. scarlatina anginosa.] A variety of scarlatina, more severe than Scarlatina simplex, and le dangerous than Scarlatina malign a. [SCARLATINA.] (Tanner: Manual of Medicine.) ăn-gi'-nous, a. [Lat. anginosus; Fr. angineux.] Pertaining to the Angina pectoris. manifested the anginous symptoms being either feebly.."- Cyclo. Pract. Med., vol. 1, p. 87. ăn-gi-o-carp-i-ans, s. pl. [ANGIOCARPOUS.] Bot. Mirl's second cla of fruits. The fruit is serred in envelopes not forming part of the calyx. It is opposed to Gym no car pians (q.v.). (Lindley: Introd. to Bot., p. 232.)
