Clarifier

That which clarifies or purifies. -A ve el used for clarifying, as in sugar-works. Clarify, v. a. [Fr. clarifier, from Lat. clarifico - clarus, clear, and facio, to make.] To make clear; to purify from feculent matter; to defecate; to fine; as, to clarify sugar. To brighten; to illuminate. (R.)
