It consists of a pair of spectacles made of gla of light-violet color over dark-red gla , a combination which admits only red rays, so that most greens, for example, would appear black. me lanose (mel'a-nos), n. [NL., first covered with brownish spots; these soon spread over and discolor the entire surface of the leaf, which then drops off.
