The colored visible portion of the eye, having a central opening (pupil), which varies in diameter to regulate the amount of light entering the eye. It consists of circular muscular fibers around the opening from which others radiate to the periphery, connective ti ue, ve els and nerves. It varies from jet black to an almost colorle hue in albinos.
