Uganda

a territory in East Africa along the N. and NW. shore of Victoria Nyanza, with a population of from 300,000 to 500,000, and the seat of an active mi ion propaganda on the part of both the Catholic and Protestant Churches; has since 1890 been under British protection. The capital is Mengo.
