Number

Unit or collection of units; expre ion of the relation of quantities to others of the same kind. The base of all numbers is unity, which expre es the equality of quantities compared. Integral numbers are those in which a unit is repeated without separation: fractional numbers are those in which the unit of the kind is divided so that its parts become fractional units. Mixed numbers are those aggregated of different units.
