(ge-mun'-der), August [Mar- tin Ludwig], vln.-maker, b. Ing elfin gen, Wurttemberg, Mar. 22, 1814; d. New York, Sept. 1, 1895. Pupil of father; after working in several places, shop of own at Regensburg; came to America 1846; first established at Springfield, Ma ., and after 1860 in N.
