BAMBOO′

(-bōō′). [Nat.] Syn. Bambu′sa , L.; Bambon , Fr.; Bambus , Bambusrohr , Indian is cher rohr , Ger. The name of several species of the genus ‘ bambusa ,’ but appr. of b. a rund in a′cea or ‘common bamboo.’ See Bambusa .
