Hair-Trigger

Trigger connected with the tumbler catch of the gun lock by a fine spring called the hair. This spring, released by a very slight pre ure, strikes the tumbler catch which unlocks the tumbler and thus fires the gun; used with sporting arms and telescopic rifles for fine shooting.
