(Lat.), n. f. Sian(sun)-o-vi(we)'tias. Gen., -it'idos (-idis). Fr., synovite. Ger., S., Gelenkentziindung, Gliedn-a erentzundung. Inflammation of the synovial sac of a joint or of that of a tendinous sheath. Chronic purulent s. See Fungous ARTHRITIS. Chronic serous s. See HYDRARTHROSIS. Crepitant s. See AI. Dry s.
