(su-do-mel-an-o's is) [G. pseudes, false, melas, black, -f -osis.'] dark greenish or blackish post-mortem discoloration of the surface of the abdominal viscera, due to the action of sulphureted hydrogen upon the iron of disintegrated hemoglobin.
