brak′si, n. and adj. a Scotch name loosely used for several totally different disorders of sheep.— Braxy mutton , the flesh of a braxy sheep; also, generally, of any sheep that has died of disease or accident. [Prob. the original form is bracks , the sing. of which is a variant of Break .]
