MURES

Male and female genii, or infernal gods, believed by the ancient Romans to haunt solitary rooms and silent places: they were propitiated by casting beans to them. Their feast was celebrated under the name of Lcmurin or Lcmiir.-iliu. U/MdUiLE. (Lat. lemur, a ghost.)
