chuk, v. t. [chucked (chukt), chucking.] To strike gently; to throw, with quick motion, short distance; to pitch. (Mech.) To place in, hold by means of, a chuck. — n. A slight blow under the chin. (Mach.) A contrivance fixed to the mandril of a turning-lathe to hold the material be operated upon.
