Chevet

(Arch.) The termination of a church behind the high altar, when of a semi-circular or polygonal form. Chev'iot, in Ohio , a post-village of Hamilton co. Chev'iot Hills, of THE CHEVIOTS, a ridge of hills on the border between England and Scotland, lying partly in both countries. Their highest summit, Cheviot, in North umber land, is 2,658 feet in height. The C.
