A genus of plants of the Amaryllid aceæ, formerly including a large number of species, but now restricted to those which have a short-ribbed, narrow, infundibuliform perianth, 8 petals inserted at the base of the segments, 3 sepals adherent to the mouth of the tub declinate style, and an obovate capsule.
