The trivial name of certain species of the I.inn a'm genua Bos, which differ from their congeners in ' v bisun), or fifteen (Bos American a*), instead of thirteen pairs of ribs. The common bison of the north of Europe (Bos bison), and the American or boua us (Bus American us), are the only known this group. [s. 163]
