Pinnatifid

(pin-nat'e-fid.) [From L. pinna, a wing, and fin do, I divide.] (Bot.) An epithet for a kind of simple leaf, divided transversely by oblong horizontal segments of jags, not extending to the middle rib. [s. 711]
