[Gr. phryně a toad, and Mod. Lat. rhombus (q. v.). Ichthy.: A genus of Pleuronectide, differing from Rhombus in having no vomerine teeth. Phry no rhombus unimaculatus is the Topknot (q. v.). phry-no-sō-ma, s. [Gr. phrynos, phrynē=a kind of toad, and sōma = the body.] Zool .: A genus of Agamide, Phrynosoma cor nutum is the Horned Lizard of Texas. P. orbiculare is the Tapayaxin of Mexico.
