genealogist (jenealojist)

[= F. généalo giste = Sp. Pg. It. genealogist a; as genealogy + -ist.] One who traces genealogies; a student of or writer upon genealogy. They deny that historians or genealogists can point out the first mean man named Douglas. Scott , Castle Dangerous, iv.
