Crithmum

(krith'mum.) (Bot.) A gen. of plants, 0. Apiaceæ, containing the Samphire, C. maritimum, an herb much valued as a pickle, found on rocky seashores, and easily distinguished by its glaucous, twice ternate leaves, the divisions of which are very succulent and taper towards either extremity. [s. 244]
