A genus of plants of the Liliaceae. 2. Of the U. S. Ph., Br. Ph. see squill, acetum scillae. Vinegar of squill; made by exhausting 1 part of squill with enough dilute acetic acid to make 10 parts [U. S. Ph.]; or by macerating 1 part of squill with 4.2 parts of dilute acetic acid [Br. Ph.]. extractum scillae fluidum. Fluidextract of squill [U. S. Ph.]. oxyniel scillae. A preparation containing vinegar of squill and honey [Br. Ph.]. pilulae scillae compos i tae. A preparation consisting of gum ammoniac, squill, ginger, and soap [Br. Ph.]. S. maritima. See Urginea maritima, under Urginea. syrup us scillae. A syrup containing 45 per cent, of vinegar of squill [U. S. Ph.]; the preparation of the Br. Ph. is e entially similar, syrup us scillae compos it us. A syrup containing squill, senega, and antimony and pota ium tartrate [U. S. Ph.]. tinctura scillae. Tincture of squill; 10 per cent. [U. S.
