(sto’mah), pl. sto’mat a (Gr. στόμα mouth]. Any minute pore, orifice, or opening on a free surface; specifically, one of the openings (stigma, or pseudos tom a) between epithelial cells of a lymph-space, forming a means of communication between adjacent lymph-channels.
