Phil. concerts; c. 2 symph., 50 Psalms, 46 Norwegian “Fjeld melodier’”’ or mountain songs, etc. Winterberger (vin’-tér-bérkh-ér), Alex., Weimar, Aug. 14, 1834—Leipzig, Sept. 23, 1914; pianist; pupil of Leipzig Cons. and of Liszt. 1861, _pf.-prof. at Petersburg Cons.; 1872, lived in Leipzig; c. pf.-pcs. and songs.
