PARALLAX

n. Pa2r'a2l-ax. Gr., wap a A A of is (from n-apaAeiv, to make things alternate). Lat., parallax is FT., paraieye to the other. It is said to be homonymous when the object appears to move in the opposite direction to the screen, i. e., moves to the side of the eye which is uncovered; heteronymous or cro ed when the obiect moves in the same direction as the screen.
