A keeper of archives or records. Archivolt, n. [Fr. arch i volte; It. arch i vol to, from Lat. arcus, a bow, and volutus, turned.] ( Arch. ) The ornamental band of mouldings round the vou oirs, or arch; stones of an arch which terminates horizontally upon the impost.
