THE LARVA, AND THE PUPA. [A, OBS Lu N long bristles. Itis most destructive in summer and the latter part of spring. It may be detected by the dust which it makes falling beneath.the specimens. It may be kept away by the constant evaporation of benzene, camphor, creasote, or oil of turpentine, or by impregnating the specimens with carbolic acid, arsenic, or corrosive sublimate.
