A retroverted uterus, u. semi part it us. See u. sub sep his. u. sept us. That form of defective development of the u. in which, while the two miillerian ducts have united, the partition between them remains wholly or in part. See also u. sept us duplex and u. sub sept us. u. sept us duplex. That variety of u. bilocular is in which there is a division from the fundus to the external os, forming two equal halves, u. sub sept us. That variety of u. sept us in which the dividing wall between the two lateral canals has partly disappeared, leaving the vagina and the cervix single, while the cavity of the body of the u. is double, u. unicorn is. A one-horned u.; that malformation of the u. in which only one of the two original lateral halves is fully developed, the other being rudimentary or wanting. u. uniloculars. That form of double u. in which the cavity of the organ is normally formed, the duplicity appearing only at the fundus on the outside, u. virilis. See u. masculinus. [Lat., uterus, womb.]
