shin, n. The fore part of the leg, esp. of human leg, between the ankle and the knee. —v. To climb (a pole, etc.) by alternately clasping the hands and legs alone. — Shin'plas'ter, n. bank-note of low denomination; a piece of paper money. — Shin'ney, -ny, -nT, n. A game in which ball is driven along the ground by blows from curved sticks; hockey; bandy, — named fr. the blows ceived on the shins of the players.
