Burritt

Elihu, an American avuthor, called the ‘“‘ Learned Blacksmith,” born in New Britain, Conn., Dec. 8, 1811. He was a blacksmith, linguist, lecturer, reformer and a noted advocate of peace. He died in New Britain, March 7, 1879.
