[Sp., lit. herb, ba de colubra. See Her pest is. - Yerba del oso, a shrub, Rhamnus Californicus. See Rhamnus. - Yerba de mate. See def. above. -Yerba mans a, a Californian herb, Anemopsis Californica, of the Pipe race a. The flow ers are small and numerous on a conical receptacle surrounded by a whitish involucre, the whole having the aspect of an anemone. The rootstock has a pungent, aromatic, and astringent taste. - Yerba reuma, a weed, Frankenia grand i folia, of Texas, California, etc., whose leaves are used as an astringent stimulant application for catarrhs.-Yerba santa. Same as bear's -weed.
