ar-rekf, Arrect'ed, a. Lifted up; raised; a. erect. — Arrest, ar-resf, v. t. To check or hinder the motion or or action of. (Law.) To take or apprehend by authority. To seize on and fix; to obstruct, delay, check^ stop. —n. (Law.) The taking or apprehending of a person; any seizure, or taking by power; hindrance.
