Tunic

(tu'nik.) [From L. tunica.] (Costumes.) Avery ancient garment which may be seen in the sculptures and paintings of early Egypt. It was in constant use by theGreeks, and ultimately worn by the Romans of both sexes under the toga and next to the skin.
