Macaws

Large New World parrots of varied and strongly contrasting bright colors, and with long tails. There are ab. Hyacinth Macaw ( Sittace hyacinth in a ). 18 species. Their voice is harsh, they feed on fruits, and stand captivity well. The Great Scarlet Macaw is 3 ft. long, and ranges from Mexico to Brazil. Macbeth, d. 1057.
