EDMOND FRANCO IS VALENTIN, (ah-boo',) a French miscellaneous and polítical writer, B. 1828, owes a great share of the fame and fortune he has acquired in literature, to the fostering patronage of the Emperor Napoleon III., against whom, however, he later directed his pen. His best novel is Le Roi des Montagnes. [s. 3]
