MARSON

Job (son of Job Marson of Malton and Beverley, horse trainer). b. Belle Vue training stables near Malton, Yorkshire; won the St. Leger on Nut with 1843, on Van Tromp 1847 and on Voltigeur 1850; won the Derby on Voltigeur 1850 and on Tedding ton 1851, beating 32 horses, being more than had ever before ran in the Derby; rode for lord Eglinton, lord George Bentinck and sir Joseph Hawley. d.
