[NL., sented by the genus Monos to mum. Monos to mum (mō-nos'tō-mum), n. [NL., M. mutabile, which is viviparous and infests birds; M. bi partitum, from the gills of fishes; M. lent is, found in the crystalline lens of the human eye. Also called Mono stoma.
