Wake field about 1770; studied at St. Thomas’s and Guy’s hospitals; a ist. surgeon in the Navy; apothecary in St. Paul’s churchyard, London; a isted in founding the London Infirmary for curing diseases of the Eye 1804; Pharmaceutical chemist in Fore st. Cripple gate about 1812; introduced many important improvements in pharmaceutical operations. d. Reigate 4 March 1856. G.M. xlv , 534 (1856).
