n. Ste'a2t-it. From oreap, fat. Lat., lardites. Fr., steatite. Ger., Steatit, Bildstein, Schreibstein. Seifenstein. Soapstone, granular magnesium silicate; a gray or grayish-green variety of talc, very greasy to the touch. [L, 30, 41, 49.] Sulphurated s.
