[Pref. me so-, and Gr. cheilos =a lip.] Bot.: The central division of an orchid lip when the latter is cleft into three. měs-o-chil-1-ŭm, s. [MESOCHIL.] měs-o-cœ-lē, měs-o-cœ-11-a, s. [Pref. me so-, and Gr. koilia =a cavity in the body.] colon.] Anat .: The iter, or cavity of the mesencephalon. měs-ô-cô-lăn, s. [Pref. me so-, and Eng., ., Anat .: A name given to the duplicatures of the peritoneum, which fix the different parts of the colon (q. v.) to the abdominal parietes.
