(kõr'don.) [Fr., a string.] (Her.) The ribbon of a knightly order.-(Mil.) A line or series of military posts. (Fortif.) A row of stones projecting from the rampart, at the base of the parapet; or, in other words, the coping of the scarp of the ditch. [s. 228]
