[Greek dikranos = two headed, forked, and keras =a horn.] Zool.: A genus of quadrupeds belonging to the Antelope family, in which the horns are greatly compre ed, rough, with an anterior proce ; tail very short, facial line convex; structure cervine. di-crăn-o-grăp'-sus, s . [Gr. dikranos = two headed, forked, and Mod. Lat. grapsus a mod if. of graptolite (q. v.).] Paleont .: A genus of fo il Hydrozoa, belonging to the sub-cla Graptolitide (Graptolites); exclusively Lower Silurian. Polypary is at first diprionidian, but soon splits into two monoprionidian branches, which carry the cellules along their outer margins. ( Nicholson .)
