[Verbal n. of froth, v.] 1. The act of rising in froth; the act of emitting froth, in any sense of that word. When alcohol is mixed with a superficially viscous li quid, it neutralises its relative superficial viscosity, and frothing is rendered impo ible. A. Daniell , Prin. of Physics, p. 247. 2.
