W. of Bareilly, on a ridge on the right bank of the Ramganga River. It has manufactures of fine metal work. Population (1901), 75,000, of 39,000 are M\is Station of the ME, lims and 31,000 are Hindus. with (1903) 3 mi ionaries with their wives, 3 inces of whom women mi ionaries, 294 native workers, 21 chapels, 178 Sunday schools, 105 day schools, 2 500 boarding schools, and 14,866 profe ed Christians, of whom 6,031 are communicants. 518
